Therefore I present to you this weeks Nails of the Week - Five Day Challenge. Every day this week I will give you the options of what to customise my manicure with by choosing from a selection of 4 polishes/items randomly chosen by the boyfriend.
So to start off I needed a base colour, and where better to go than my favourite people on twitter:

So with the vote tied at 2 all for Something Sweet & Lemon Fizz I gave the boyfriend the deciding vote...
I was praying for Something Sweet, a nice safe pale pink, lots of potential. Of course he picked Lemon Fizz because it looks like our pet cocktiel's feathers.
China Glaze - Lemon FizzSo... Lemon Fizz! It's an interesting colour, a very soft pastel mid yellow cream. I honestly didn't think it would work well with my skin tone but now I have it on I can say that it's growing on me.
The forumla was quite streaky for the first couple of coats and I would recommend if using this colour to paint an area once and leave it to dry as the polish had a tendency to drag. And although it was a little streaky it was not at all chalky like most other pastels and it also dried to a superbly shiny finish!
The picture above is Seche base coat and 3 coats of Lemon Fizz.
Ze Smudge! And finally onto tomorrow's (Monday) choices! Please comment below or tweet me your choice and I'll tally them up after work.
Here are your options (be kind!):
- CND Effects - Sapphire Sparkle
- China Glaze - Grape Pop
- China Glaze - Heli-Yum
- China Glaze - Something Sweet
So, til tomorrow... Happy Polishing!
Oh my, I am a big fan of pastel anything esp yellow/pinks!
ReplyDeleteLau do you know if this is anything comparable to Essie Barbuda Banana?
How about Sapphire Sparkle over Grape Pop? :)
ReplyDeleteI vote Sapphire Sparkle! I don't think I've seen swatches of that anywhere before :)
